About "Timeless Moments"
Step into the poetic pulse of city life with Timeless Moments by contemporary impressionist Michael Flohr. This stunning giclee on canvas, measuring approximately 35" x 47" and elegantly framed to 47" x 58.5", captures a fleeting evening scene with cinematic flair and painterly brilliance.
Rendered in Flohr's signature blend of abstract expressionism and impressionistic technique, the composition depicts an illuminated city street alive with color, motion, and atmosphere. Figures carrying violet umbrellas stroll beneath glowing streetlights, while warm amber reflections dance across the rain-slicked pavement. The surrounding architecture is composed of rhythmic, painterly strokes elongated and stacked suggesting both the vibrancy and anonymity of urban life.
The color palette is both moody and electric, dominated by crimson reds, deep plums, amber golds, and soft teal greens, offset by bursts of white and soft shadow. Flohr's layering technique and rich textural approach give the painting a modern energy and depth that invites prolonged viewing and personal interpretation.
Timeless Moments is a celebration of stillness within motion of shared spaces, quiet reflection, and the romanticism of city streets after dark. A sophisticated focal point for modern interiors, urban lofts, or art-forward living spaces, this piece speaks to collectors drawn to emotional nuance and the layered beauty of everyday scenes. With his parents encouragement, he began painting at the young age of five and later on pursued a degree at the San Francisco Academy of Art College, graduating in 1999. Michael Flohr has also been recognized into New York's Society of Illustrators, joining the ranks of legendary predecessors such as Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish and N.C. Wyeth. Depicting ordinary moments in extraordinary ways, Michael Flohr's work displays an artistic mastery of color, perspective, technique and vision. Largely urban in content with a European flair, his paintings cover subject matter ranging from nightlife scenes, cityscapes, still lifes and figurative portraiture. Inspired by the works of master impressionists, Flohr prefers to paint in oils and comments " I love oil paint because of its durability and the richness it brings to the canvas. I also believe that most people with an appreciation for art respect an artists use of this classic medium."
